We're back on Oakland's best patio for our monthly pop up at The Double Standard.
We'll be out of town in January so this will be our last one for a minute. Hope to see you all there!
- PUMPKIN LAKSA (Gluten Free)
Rice noodle soup in broth made from coconut, chilies, lemongrass and scratch-made spice paste, loaded with tofu puffs, roasted kabocha (Japanese pumpkin), radishes, bean sprouts, braised shredded yuba, herbs, guajillo lime leaf sambal and (optional) chili oil.
A spicy brothy noodle dish popular in Southeast Asia. There are many delicious variations of this dish, and we hope you'll enjoy our meatless, seafood-free, but flavor packed version, with a seasonal twist.
- RED OIL WANTON
Meaty beancurd, green onion and seitan filled dumplings, boiled and doused in Sichuan peppercorn and red chili oil, seasoned black vinegar and cilantro.
These tender Sichuanese dumplings in tingly spicy vinaigrette have become a comfort food for many beyond their province of origin. Traditionally filled with pork, our version is every bit as savory.
- SATAY (GF option)
Spice marinated seitan skewers served with peanut sauce and acar (spicy pickles).
Initially from Indonesia, satay has become a staple all over Southeast Asia, including Singapore, with local variations. We will also have coconut marinated tofu skewers as a gluten free option.
- We accept cash and card.
- No reservations required, first come first served basis.
- The Double Standard bar is 21+ only by state law, sorry!
